Robert puts his personal spin on the classic stage effect, “The Orange, Lemon, Egg, and Canary”! This staple of magic has been updated and streamlined for the working pro in a version that requires no fuss, no muss, no trips to a grocery store ever, and no live animals that have to be fed and cared for! Here’s the effect: The performer shows a cute little bird moving around in a cage. The magician takes the bird out of his cage and the audience sees it moving in his hand. Then Mr. Birdie is magically vanished in a supplied cloth to the audience’s delight!
Next, an egg is shown, and it follows into the cloth and mysteriously disappears too. The audience can’t believe it!
And now a lime is shown and it makes its startling disappearance into the same cloth.
Here's the cool part: A coconut is shown and the crowd is amused as the magician fails to make it vanish in a similar manner. But not to worry; the performer is prepared! Cracking open the coconut, the lime is found inside! The audience is astonished. Slicing open the lime, the egg is seen inside that. The people watching are stunned. And finally cracking the egg inside the cage, the cute little birdie makes his reappearance and hops onto his perch as the crowd cheers!
